2007 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

 

  CHRIS CARPENTER and his family are members of South Plains Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  He will attend West Texas A&M University in the fall where he plans on majoring in sociology, specializing in the interactions between rural and urban communities.

MARK GREGORY and his family are members of South Plains Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  He plans on attending Lubbock Christian University where he will major in Plant Science with a minor in Spanish.  His long term goals are to return to the family’s peanut breeding business after obtaining his Master’s Degree.

NICOLETTE GEORGACAKIS is currently a freshman at Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, VA where she is majoring in Government and Public Policy.  Her parents are members of Pedernales Electric Cooperative and TREWA.

HANNAH HARRISON and her parents are members of Wise Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  She plans on attending Texas A&M University where she will major in International Studies  and Commerce.    

JASON HEILIG and his family are members of Sam Houston Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  He plans on attending the University of Texas where he will study Business Management at the Red McComb’s School of Business.  Ultimately, he would like to attend UT Law School and become an attorney.

CASEY HENLY and his parents are members of Deep East Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  He will attend Blinn Jr. College in Bryan, and later, Texas A&M University.  He plans on majoring in agriculture and is interested in renewable energy projects.

  TRAVIS JONES and his parents are members of South Plains Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  Currently ranked first in his senior class, he will attend Texas A&M University in the fall and plans to major in Architecture, specializing in Environmental Design. 

CODY MATSLER currently attends Texas A&M University where he is majoring in International Studies.  After obtaining his degree, he plans on joining the military and eventually attending law school.  His mother is employed at Cooke County Electric Cooperative and is a member of TREWA.

JAMES PEIL and his parents are members of North Plains Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  He plans on attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University and later Wichita State or Oklahoma State University where he will obtain a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

KARINA SKOTNIK and her parents are members of Fannin County Electric Cooperative and TREWA.  Her long term goal is to be involved with youth ministry.  She will attend St. Gregory’s University in the fall and plans to continue until obtaining a Master’s Degree.
